‘DDC is an exclusive group of individuals who have a passion for the sports car lifestyle. We share our enthusiasm, our stories, and most notably, a mutual appreciation for the automobile.’

I designed a new brand identity for Dream Drivers Club, which acknowledges the brand’s love for automobiles and carries it into the social realm. Dream Drivers Club is viewed as a symbol of sports cars and camaraderie, attracting those who are free-spirited. The objective of this branding is to establish the club’s identity as a passionate and visionary brand while standing as a pioneer in the Romanian automotive co-ownership domain. Dream Drivers Club is unique in its brand values, making it a one-of-a-kind sports car owner’s club.

The wordmark is intended to convey practicality and boldness, both of which are core values of the brand. It marks a significant departure from the current, more business-oriented automotive industry and reflects the brand’s confidence. The goal from the outset was to utilize a typeface that was distinctly DDC in both its appearance and demeanor. Chakra Petch – a square sans serif font with tapered corners – conveys a “mechanical” aesthetic in tune with its content.

The design of the color palette for the Dream Drivers Club is based on the most iconic and (expensive) racecars of the century. The passionate red used by the club draws inspiration from Italy’s supercars and is paired with white and gold tones to provide contrast and readability. We enjoyed designing and creating images for the club’s social media posts, featuring their flagship convertible – a Mazda MX5 ND – cruising along urban and rural roads with style.

The DDC website is designed to engage users in sports car culture through an eye-catching and immersive design, which makes anyone feel as though they can participate. Photography and CGI are used to create a personal connection with the visuals, allowing for viewers to experience the thrill of driving on the streets as if they were there.
